About the Role

This position will support MoneyLion’s Anti-Money Laundering and Consumer Compliance Programs. The Compliance Analyst is responsible for performing CIP, KYC, and AML compliance functions which include but are not limited to unusual activity investigations and global sanctions screening and consumer compliance functions including but not limited to creating, implementing and documenting policies and procedures, creating and executing any employee documents and training, writing test plans and executing on those test plans among other AML and consumer compliance related processes, practices, transactions and activity to ensure that applicable laws, rules and regulations are applied accurately and consistently.

BSA AML Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and assess alerts relating to potential money laundering risks in the organization
  • Ensure efficient identification and monitoring of activities and transactions indicative of potential money laundering or other suspicious activity
  • Daily assessment of AML reports relating to potential suspicious activity
  • Keep abreast with money laundering and terrorist financing behaviors, issues, policies, regulations, criminal typologies, industry best practices, and developing trends

Consumer Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Develop test scripts in accordance with procedures and executing on those test scripts to conduct an independent assessment of the Company’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Lead stakeholder meetings to discuss findings and recommendations of independent testing
  • Conduct compliance reviews of marketing materials
  • Assist with complaints management process

About You

  • Fundamental understanding of anti-money laundering and consumer compliance laws and rules
  • Prior experience in financial crimes investigation a plus
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to effectively make decisions and solve problems
  • Familiarity with AML issues and suspicious transaction monitoring practices
  • Compliance and regulatory experience in lending and deposit a plus
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to identify, escalate, and communicate issues to management Perform other duties as assigned
